FX Celebrated the Fifth and Final Season of Better Things With a Star-studded Red-carpet Event at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles. #BetterThingsFX

LOS ANGELES, FEBURARY 23, 2022 – Last night, FX celebrated the final season of their award-winning series Better Things with a premiere under the stars in the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles.

Better Things cast and producers on site included Pamela Adlon (“Sam Fox”/Executive Producer/Writer/ Director), Mikey Madison (“Max”), Hannah Riley (“Frankie”) and Olivia Edward (“Duke”). They were joined by cast members Diedrich Bader (“Rich”), Rosalind Chao (“Caroline”), Greg Cromer (“Jeff”), Rebecca Metz (“Tressa”), Kevin Pollack (“Marion”), Alysia Reiner (“Sunny”), Jeremy Williams (“Jason”), Nelson Lee (“Feng Shui Joe”), Lowam Eyasu (“Teacher”) and Phil Lamarr (“Lamarr”). Also present were Joe Hortua (Executive Producer) and Robin Ruzan (Consulting Producer).

The celebration, which followed all local COVID protocols, was also attended by FX Chairman, John Landgraf and Eric Schrier, President of FX Entertainment.

One of the episodes shown was partially filmed at Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Sam Fox’s beloved El Camino was on site with plants decorating the bed of the truck.  Behind the vehicle was a wall featuring original art pieces from the series. Guests dined on fried chicken (both regular and vegan), corn, fresh fruit and a sampling of deserts including apple pie cookies and matzoh crack.  The caterer was Food Matters. In accordance with strict environmental protocols followed by the production, no plastics were utilized in catering the event.

Guests were given blankets as the LA night temperature was uncharacteristically chilly.  They were also gifted a month-long membership to Sarvodaya Institute, an organic farm collective for which Pamela Adlon is a big supporter.

The pre-show entertainment included music from DJ Ana Calderon; a reading from Get Lit poets Dharma Lemon and Zoe Hare and a rousing game of Drag Queen Bingo.

Tune-In:

Better Things premieres with its first two episodes on Monday, February 28 at 10pm ET/PT on FX and streaming on Hulu, with subsequent episodes airing weekly.

Series Details:

In its fifth and final chapter, Better Things focuses on ‘the road ahead’ for its unconventional, unfiltered heroine, Sam Fox (Pamela Adlon), so devoted to her life as a working actor and single mother of three that she’s left little time for that one elusive thing: herself. As she navigates three daughters, each coming of age; the challenges of her chosen career; and her mother’s increasing signs of aging (as well as her own)—Sam embraces each moment, and each member of her family, with a fierce love, raw honesty and biting humor. As each of the Fox women come of age into the next phase of their life, they are inspired to reevaluate themselves, learn from the past and find their own direction.
