SEOUL, KOREA – On Monday, December 9, Netflix hosted the World Premiere of SQUID GAME Season 2 turning the Dongdaemun Design Plaza pink in celebration of the new season.

From the pink carpet to a performance by the world-renowned dance crew ‘1MILLION,’ exclusive behind-the-scenes talks, the world’s first screening of Episode 1 and an experience zone that brought Squid Game to life for the 1,000 fans in attendance, the World Premiere only heightened anticipation for the season premiere later this month! As the premiere concluded, news broke that Season 2 was nominated for Best Drama Series at the 82nd Annual Golden Globe Awards. The event was livestreamed across multiple Netflix YouTube channels with 350k global views so far.

Up next: Los Angeles! To celebrate the highly anticipated return of Squid Game, Netflix will host a Squid Game-ified 5K — so, a 4.56K — run on the evening of Dec. 12 in Los Angeles where the fans will be put into the role of players who must compete for the ultimate prize — a coveted seat at an advance screening of the Season 2 premiere.
