Prime Video’s The Girlfriend Announces Six New Series Regulars
New character descriptions released for all series regulars
The series adaptation of Michelle Frances’ novel The Girlfriend casts Tanya Moodie, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Anna Chancellor, Karen Henthorn, Leo Suter and Francesca Corney as series regulars, along with previously announced cast: Robin Wright, Olivia Cooke, Laurie Davidson, and Waleed Zuaiter.
The below cast are new series regulars:
TANYA MOODIE (Motherland, Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2)
- Tanya Moodie has been cast as Isabella
- [ISABELLA] – Isabella is Laura’s best friend, and mother to Brigitte. She has her finger on the pulse of the rich and privileged.
SHALOM BRUNE-FRANKLIN (Baby Reindeer, Dune: Prophecy)
- Shalom Brune-Franklin has been cast as Brigitte
- [BRIGITTE] – Brigitte is Isabella’s daughter. Brigitte and Daniel grew up together, and at one point dated each other.
KAREN HENTHORN (Passenger, Time Season 2).
- Karen Henthorn has been cast as Tracey
- [TRACEY] – Tracey is Cherry’s mother. She has endured a challenging life that has left her unsentimental and averse to physical affection.
ANNA CHANCELLOR (My Lady Jane, The Split)
- Anna Chancellor has been cast as Lilith
- [LILITH] – Lilith is a trailblazing, straight-talking artist who has rejected the phony, superficial allure of the art world to forge her own path.
LEO SUTER (Vikings: Valhalla, Lynley)
- Leo Suter has been cast as Nicholas
- [NICHOLAS] – Nicholas is Cherry’s ex-boyfriend.
FRANCESCA CORNEY (The Buccaneers, Fistful of Vengeance)
- Francesca Corney has been cast as Millie
- [MILLIE] – Madly in love and engaged to Nicholas.

- Robin Wright has been cast as Laura
- [LAURA] – Laura is a woman who appears to have it all – she is married to a wealthy, adoring husband, is the mother to a devoted son and the owner of her own art gallery.
OLIVIA COOKE (House of the Dragon, Sound of Metal)
- Olivia Cooke has been cast as Cherry
- [CHERRY] – Cherry is Daniel’s (Laurie Davidson) new girlfriend, a young woman who has had to fight for every opportunity in her life
LAURIE DAVIDSON (Mary & George, Masters of the Air)
- Laurie Davidson has been cast as Daniel
- [DANIEL] – Daniel is a handsome, thrill seeking, adrenaline junkie. He’s Laura’s (Robin Wright) son and boyfriend to Cherry (Olivia Cooke).
WALEED ZUAITER
- Waleed Zuaiter has been cast as Howard
- [HOWARD] – Howard, married to Laura (Robin Wright) is a successful businessman, moves in the upper echelons of society fixing problems for the super rich.
About The Girlfriend S1
The Girlfriend is based on Michelle Frances’ novel of the same name. Laura (Robin Wright) wants for nothing. She has a glittering career, a loving husband, and, above all, she has Daniel, her precious only son. But Laura’s seemingly perfect life is blown apart when Daniel brings home Cherry (Olivia Cooke), the girlfriend who changes everything. After an uncomfortable first meeting, Laura grows convinced that Cherry isn’t who she says she is. Whilst no-one else can see what she sees, Laura refuses to stand by and watch Daniel be deceived. She’ll do anything to protect him. As things go from bad to deadly, the question is, Is Cherry a manipulative social climber? Or is Laura paranoid and possessive? The truth is a matter of perspective…
