Los Angeles, California (May 12, 2021) Rugrats, Nick’s original franchise and one of the biggest and most influential TV hits among kids and parents ever, is returning as part of Nickelodeon’s biggest animation slate in its 40+ year history. Nancy Cartwright, the most successful female voice actor of all time, voices Chuckie Finster, the deep thinker of the group, often seen clutching his plush Reptar doll and Tommy’s best friend in all-new Rugrats seriesa reimagining of the classic ‘90s hit.
“It is great to be back in action in this beloved show who has brought happiness and joy to so many generations. Chuckie is a special character to me because he doesn’t conform with the reality he sees. Call him an “over thinker” but to me he always wants to go beyond the facade. Cartwright also started a new production company in 2020 called CRE84U Entertainment. I am very excited and honored to be able to give new, diverse voices a chance to tell their stories,” said Cartwright from the Nick Studios in Burbank, California. 
As an Emmy® Annie Award-winning actress, Cartwright is best-known as the voice of spiky-headed underachiever Bart Simpson, but she is also the voice behind Ralph Wiggum, NelsonMuntz, Todd Flanders, Maggie SimpsonDataBase and Kearney on the pop culture phenomenon, The Simpsons. In her 41-year career at the microphone, Cartwright has given voice to countless other characters from award-winning animated series, includinKim Possible (Rufus the Naked Mole Rat), Richie Rich (Gloria), Animaniacs (Mindy), The Replacements (Todd) as well as Pinky and the BrainThe CriticGod, The Devil and Bob, and Chuck Jones’ final work, Timber Wolf. In 2017, Cartwright completed a life-long dream of writing and producing a film based on an adventure she took in 1985 when she went to Italy to find the great Italian director, Federico Fellini. In Search of Fellini (Amazon) went on to achieve Official Selection with nine film festivals. The New York Times raved that In Search of Fellini is “a charming drama about the love of movies and youthful passion.” After her success with Fellini, Cartwright has continued to pen stories across many mediums. Recent credits include penning her very first episode of The Simpsons, titled Girl’s in the Band, and her forthcoming audiobook release, I’m Still a 10-Year-Old Boy. In 2020, Cartwright co-founded the production company CRE84UEntertainment alongside her long-time producing partner Monica Gil-Rodriguez. Mexican actor and producer Jaime Aymerich (Betty En NY), an executive producer on the upcoming Netflix show Julie and the Phantoms, and manager Carolina Aymerich.
They have numerous projects in development and production that run the gamut of live-action TV Shows, animation, as well as feature films. They are in post-production on high-octane thriller Borrego starring Lucy Hale and Nicolas Gonzalez. 
This August 11th marks the 30th anniversary of the Rugrats series. The original series launched in August of 1991 and instantly became a groundbreaking phenomenon, spawning consumer products and three hit theatrical releases. The series earned four Daytime Emmy Awards, six Kids’ Choice Awards and its own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.Rugrats was in production for nine seasons (169 episodes) over the course of 13 years.
