“Double Kick Heroes” [Review] (Xbox One) by Rafy Mediavilla

ENLGISH:

“Double Kick Heroes is best described as the combination of Guitar Hero/Rock Band with Doom/Call of Duty, it is a rhythmic shooter, specifically speaking to the rhythm of rock metal music, definitely “targeted” to the fans of perhaps these 3 elements.

“Double Kick Heroes has 4 different segments to enjoy. The Arcade mode where with a total of 6 worlds, and 5 levels per world, where you have to finish each world to go to the next one.

The Story mode where the same concept of arcade is involved but at the same time has a dialogue with which you must interact from time to time to advance in the story.

Hellgate that in essence is using the mechanics and the concept of the video game but with songs of guest artists.

And finally Fury Road, which is essentially an endless play mode where you continue to advance, and unlock skills to continue to advance in this mode that in essence does not end until you die.

The controls are relatively simple, the idea is to press one of the two buttons that represent a high shot, or a low shot when the note of the song passes through the meter so that it counts as a hit.

The key here is to clearly see where the enemies are coming from, and depending on that, you know if it’s a high shot, or a low shot.

Perhaps the main attraction of the game, and this is to be expected, is its music. Obviously for the one who is a fan of rock metal music (like me).

Another detail that I liked is that you can use the drums or USB guitar if you have one available.

Where perhaps the game becomes monotonous and repetitive, so that it becomes something you get tired and need to take a break is that their controls are not so difficult to handle, and perhaps the songs that this modes outside Hellsgate are not as fun as the songs of the guest artists.

At a price of $20, this game is highly recommended for the rock metal music fan, and maybe you are looking for a video game to spend some time and do something different.
