A couple’s motel stay takes a chilling turn when they discover they’re being observed, leading to unexpected consequences.

I think people have different perspectives or misconceptions about working on a full-feature film or working on a short. Can you walk us through the process of how you get ready, what is your mindset to get into a full feature film when compared to a short?
Brenna D’Amico:
Absolutely! I think there are so many great parts about, you know, both. But I think what we wanted to take advantage of with this short film was how close we all were able to get. You know, we got close with our crew, we got closer with all our cast, and on a feature, sometimes you don’t meet half the crew, so sometimes you don’t get a chance to meet even the cast or most of the cast. So, we took advantage of being like, let’s work with people that we know are great and can give us two days of their time to hunker down and set into this vision. And I was happy with how it turned out.
Criticólogos:
I want to talk about your character, and I’m not going to ask you what you have in common because I’m scared to ask. (laughing!)
Brenna D’Amico:
(Laughing!) Yeah! I don’t think I do; I think I’m a little twisted, just not as twisted as Miss Millie.
Criticólogos:
Good answer, but what was going through your mind when you got the script, you understand what you had to go through because there’s some interesting social commentary that we are putting out there with the short. So, what was your mindset going into set after the reading the script?
Brenna D’Amico:
I thought it was great. I thought what he sent me, I was like, this is a perfect 11 minutes of pure entertainment. I knew tonally what we were all wanting to do. We wanted to make it, alive and big and entertaining. And I wanted to be a part of it. The second I read it; I was like this is so cool. There are so many different storylines, and aspects of this. So, I was like, we can make this so fun with great people. And it was it was so much fun to film. We shot for two days, and it was the most fun two days ever.

I love the direction of the story, how it was told, how everything went about. I love the practical effects and it’s surprisingly intimate. Walk us through a day on set dealing with the sort of situation between obviously professionally smooshing around and then having to deal with all these different practical effects.
Brenna D’Amico:
Yeah, it was! And I’m happy that I got to cast Carter Glade as my opposite. We’ve known each other for a few years, and I know this. I knew this was going to be an intimate heavy little two days. And I think the reason why we wanted to do all of that was that excess of anything, or especially when it becomes intimate, as uncomfortable for people on screen, and it makes you kind of go like, what’s going on even before like the bigger horror parts happen.
So, I think we played into that a little, uh, a little bit too. But it was great. And just working with somebody who knows that they have your back and that it’s all professional and great is, is a good feeling as well.

It’s going to come out. It’s going to premiere soon in the Scream Fest. And I wonder people that are going to see it there, what can they expect? what can you tell them?
Brenna D’Amico:
I want to tell them to go into this 11 minutes being ready to be entertained, get ready to be creeped out a little bit, um, and just have fun with us because we had so much fun filming this. I hope everybody has just as much fun watching it.

What else do you have coming up that you want us to keep an eye on?
Brenna D’Amico:
Yeah, I have a few projects coming up. I’m working on a couple few Indies right now, and I’m producing one of them as well as starring in it. So, I’m excited about that. It’s called Ghost Complex, but yeah, just, trying to get things made as we all do.
