“The Rules” to surviving a horror film and we predict the “new rules” that may arise from Scream VI’ #ScreamVI

Surviving a horror film requires more than just luck. As any horror fan knows, there are certain rules that must be followed if you want to make it out alive. Here are some of the classic “rules” to surviving a horror film, as well as some predictions for the “new rules” that may arise from the upcoming film Scream VI.

Classic Rules:

  1. Don’t split up: One of the classic horror movie tropes is the group of friends who decide to split up to cover more ground. This is always a bad idea, as it makes it easier for the killer to pick them off one by one.
  2. Don’t investigate strange noises: If you hear a strange noise coming from the basement, don’t investigate it. This is a classic horror movie mistake that almost always ends badly.
  3. Don’t have sex: Sex is a surefire way to get killed in a horror movie. It’s as if the universe itself is punishing you for your lust.
  4. Don’t drink or do drugs: Horror movie characters who drink or do drugs are always the first to go. It’s as if the killer is punishing them for their sins.
  5. Never assume the killer is dead: In horror movies, the killer is almost never really dead. Always double-tap, just to be safe.

New Rules (predicted):

  1. Don’t trust anyone: In Scream VI, we can expect the killer to be someone we least suspect. This means that characters will need to be extra cautious about who they trust.
  2. Use technology wisely: With the rise of technology, we can expect characters in Scream VI to use it to their advantage. However, technology can also be a liability if it falls into the wrong hands.
  3. Don’t underestimate the killer: The killer in Scream VI is likely to be smart, cunning, and ruthless. Characters will need to be prepared to face a formidable opponent.
  4. Don’t rely on old tropes: The horror genre is constantly evolving, and what worked in the past may not work in the present. Characters will need to be adaptable and willing to try new strategies to survive.
  5. Don’t assume you’re the final girl: The concept of the “final girl” may be turned on its head in Scream VI. Characters will need to be prepared to face unexpected twists and turns.

Surviving a horror movie is no easy feat. But by following the classic rules and staying ahead of the predicted new rules, characters in Scream VI may stand a chance of making it out alive.
