Spanish-language streaming platform Pantaya has released the official trailer for the second season of their Spanish to English subtitled dramedy “ANA,” which will be available on binge July 22 exclusively in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. The series was created, produced, written by and stars award-winning actress Ana de la Reguera. The six-episode, 30-minute hilarious series is directed by Marcelo Tobar and also stars Tina Romero, Andrés Almeida, David Palacio, Christian Meier, Paly Duval, and Gabriela Roel. The second season of “ANA” also features a special participation from TV icon Carmen Salinas in one of her last TV appearances.
The GLAAD and IMAGEN award-nominated comedy series tells a fictional story based on the life of Ana de la Reguera, who faces many challenges in her personal and professional life. The series picks up where the first season left off: Ana discovers that the contract she signed with her agent is not the leading role she thought it was. This season, Ana will try to keep her sanity while still dealing with her mother, who now lives with her in Los Angeles, and acts in a television series that is reminiscent of the bad sitcoms of the 90s.
