Netflix reveals sneak peeks of Senna’s main characters

Today, Netflix released the first images of the main characters in Senna, the series premiering worldwide on November 29, along with a brand new poster. The new photos feature Gabriel Leone in the classic Ayrton Senna pose, in a red jumpsuit with his signature helmet, as well as important figures in the driver’s life, such as his parents, his friends and his main rival on the tracks: Alain Prost, played by Matt Mella.

Over the course of six episodes, the miniseries dramatizes for the first time Ayrton’s journey through triumphs, disappointments, joys, and sorrows, revealing his personality and personal relationships. The story starts at the beginning of the three-time Formula 1 champion’s motor racing career, following him from his karting days, through his move to England to compete in Formula Ford, and continues up to the tragic accident in Imola, Italy, during the San Marino Grand Prix.

Vicente Amorim is the showrunner and director. Julia Rezende also directs the series. Senna is produced by Gullane and created in partnership with Senna Brands and the driver’s family.
