Interview by Rafy Mediavilla w/ Disney+ “Zombies 3” Actress Kylee Russell (Eliza) & Carla Jeffery (Bree). Where we spoke about what can fans expect from Zombies 3 & the changes of their characters since the first movie. Out July 15! #Zombies3 #DisneyPlus
It’s Zed and Addison’s final year at Seabrook and things are better than ever. The town has finally accepted monsters as a part of Seabrook and has become a safe haven for monsters and humans alike. Zed is on the cusp of receiving a football scholarship and becoming the first Zombie to ever attend college (and he’s excited to join Addison who has already been admitted). Addison is excited to mark the opening of the town’s brand new “cheer pavilion” by inviting cheer teams from all over the world to compete in an “international cheer-off.” However, the town is shocked by the arrival of a new group of intergalactic outsiders – Aliens, who show up to compete in the cheer-off. Though they begrudgingly allow the Aliens to stay for the competition – the monsters and humans of Seabrook grow suspicious when they discover that the Aliens may be looking for more than a friendly competition. Some flashing lights sequences or patterns may affect photosensitive viewers.
Criticólogos:
I want to walk about your characters since they have been here since the beginning. In this one, both seem more mature. They are more grounded. In your opinion, what have changed in this journey?
Carla Jeffery:
Well, I definitely feel like Bree is learning to not be as hesitant, you know, not thinking that the situation isn’t going to work out. You know, something could seem bad, but, a, when you go for it, work hard, you can accomplish your goals. So she’s definitely more straightforward.
Kylee Russell:
Eliza is definitely more confident in herself and in her ability on what she can do tech wise, and she’s also growing to become even more open and accepting.
Criticólogos:
The wardrobe and the makeup and the whole set is so amazing all throughout the whole trilogy. And I wonder, did you guys take anything from the set to keep as a memento?
Kylee Russell:
Yeah. So this was a total accident. I had a fitting at my house and a pair of Eliza’s earrings about left behind. And I called and said, Hey, like a pair of her earrings are here. Like, you want me to bring them? And they’re like, No, it’s fine. Just keep them. So I was like, Gladly, you don’t have to tell me twice. I’ll keep these forever.
Carla Jeffery:
Honestly I wear glasses like I need them. So I love how they made Bree’s glasses, like actual prescription. So the first two movies, they let me keep them. I was really surprised, but I love that I get to wear like the little pink glasses all the time. So I love that.

Criticólogos:
If you could switch teams, which team will you go to and why?
Carla Jeffery:
Well, I want to say the zombies. Since. Since, you know, I have my gonzo. I want to be able to conversate with him and understand what? So let’s see the zombies for that reason.
Kylee Russell:
I think werewolves because, like, I love their style, I love their dancing. Like, I feel like that would be a lot of fun. And to live in the woods. Amazing.
Criticólogos:
What do you expect people to take away from this third movie?
Carla Jeffery:
I honestly feel like they will get more. Like I want to see like the same of what they’ve seen from the first two movies, but more like in a different way because we try to show, you know, acceptance, you know, throughout the movie that, you know, that’s basically what it’s about. But just bigger and better, they’re going to have way more fun watching it and they’re going to love all the dances, all the singing. Absolutely.
Kylee Russell:
I hope that they can just feel the joy that we had making it, and I hope that they love it as much as we love making it for them. And I say that every time because that’s really all that I hope for, is that they just really love and enjoy it and it brings them happiness.
