Crunchyroll Adquiere El Nuevo Filme De Anime “The Concierge”

El filme, una adaptación de The Concierge at Hokkyoku Department Store de Tsuchika Nishimura, sigue a Akino, un conserje en prácticas que trabaja en una tienda muy especial: todos los clientes son animales y los más valorados entre ellos son especies extintas.
The Concierge hizo su estreno mundial el pasado mes de junio en el Festival Internacional de Cine de Animación de Annecy y su estreno norteamericano fue en el Festival Internacional de Cine Fantasia.
Este es el primer largometraje del director Yoshimi Itazu (Welcome to the Ballroom). La película será lanzada por Aniplex en Japón el 20 de octubre y se espera que llegue a los territorios de Crunchyroll y Sony Pictures en 2024.

Culver City, California (October 5, 2023) – Crunchyroll, the ultimate home for anime worldwide, announced today that it has acquired the North American rights for the new anime film The Concierge.
The film, an adaptation of Tsuchika Nishimura’s The Concierge at Hokkyoku Department Store, follows Akino, a trainee concierge, who works at a very special store – the customers are all animals and the most valued among them are extinct species.
The Concierge made its World Premiere this past June at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival and its North American Premiere at the Fantasia International Film Festival. The film will screen in competition at the Animation Is Film Festival in Los Angeles on Saturday, October 21 at 3pm PT. Tickets are now on sale at: https://animationisfilm.com/events/the-concierge/. The Concierge is the first feature film from director Yoshimi Itazu (Welcome to the Ballroom). The film is set to be released by Aniplex in Japan on October 20 and expected to come to Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures territories in 2024.
The Concierge is directed by Yoshimi Itazu from production company PRODUCTION I.G (Ghost in the Shell, PSYCHO-PASS, Haikyuu!). The main voice cast includes Natsumi Kawaida as Akino, Takeo Otsuka as Elulu, and Kenjiro Tsuda as Woolly.

Akino is a trainee concierge at the Hokkyoku Department Store, an unusual department store that caters exclusively to animals. Under the watchful eyes of the floor manager and senior concierges, Akino runs around to fulfill the wishes of customers with a myriad of needs and problems in her pursuit to become a full-fledged concierge.
