Bullet Train, which was shot between California and Tokyo, and based on Kōtarō Isaka’s novel Maria Beetle, tells the story of a group of hitmen who find themselves on a nonstop journey through modern Japan inside the fastest train in the world. Though each with their own mission, the characters shortly realize their missions are intertwined with that of other deadly characters. The trailer gives us a sneak peek into what to expect from this perilous train ride, starting with an iconic fight between reggaeton super star Bad Bunny and Hollywood’s golden boy Brad Pitt.
We bring to you the main characters of this unique adventure and what to expect from each of them before the premiere of this anticipated quest.
BRAD PITT is “Ladybug”
Actor Brad Pitt stars as Ladybug, an assassin on a very specific mission to get a suspicious briefcase inside the train. Everything seems simple until he realizes he’s not the only dangerous individual on this ride. The unexpected encounters force this retired assassin to go back to his job, as in order to survive he will need to fight. All while Maria Beetle (Sandra Bullock) walks him through the mission through a phone.
BENITO A. MARTINEZ OCASIO / BAD BUNNY is “Mr. Wolf”
Bad Bunny makes his Hollywood debut as the revenge-filled Mexican assassin Mr. Wolf. He is on the train to make everyone’s lives just a little more difficult, or rather for one specific character. In this Sony Pictures teaser, it is revealed how Mr. Wolf meets Brad Pitt’s character, Ladybug, who receives insight that the big bad wolf “doesn’t need a reason to kill people like you, he needs a reason not to”.
JOEY KING is “The Prince”
Joey King joined this stellar cast in a role much different than what the general audience is used to seeing her play. She comes into the story as The Prince. Don’t be fooled by her sweet and innocent face, as if there is one thing we know about The Prince is that she is a vicious killer and is characterized by pure madness and destruction. Though dressed in pink and in a school-girl outfit, the viciousness of this character should not be underestimated.
ANDREW KOJI es “Kimura”
Andrew Koji plays the vengeful and murderous Japanese father Kimura, who just like Mr. Wolf, has an enormous thirst for revenge and will take it out on this fast-paced non-stop ride. What we know about him is that he is not an easy opponent and that he has a strong reason to kill at any cost. But… he doesn’t know that there is also someone waiting for him inside the train. Someone that should not be messed with or rather –underestimated.
AARON TAYLOR-JOHNSON & BRIAN TYREE HENRY are “Tangerine” y “Lemon”
These two great actors bring to life “Tangerine” and “Lemon”, a duo of hitmen who get on the bullet train with the mission of saving “The Son” (Logan Lerman) who got into serious trouble with dangerous criminals. But what will happen when they think their target is safe and their mission is complete but the danger is more prevalent than ever?
Who will get out alive from this perilous non-stop ride? You cannot miss Bullet Train out in theaters this August 5th.
