Apple TV+ hosts world premiere for highly anticipated psychological thriller, “The Crowded Room,” starring and executive produced by Tom Holland and created by Academy Award winner Akiva Goldsman

Last night at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), Apple TV+ hosted the world premiere of the gripping new thriller, “The Crowded Room.” Debuting globally on Apple TV+ with the first three episodes on Friday, June 9, “The Crowded Room” is created and executive produced by Academy Award winner Akiva Goldsman, and features an ensemble cast led by Tom Holland, who stars and executive produces. Attendees at the star-studded event included Holland alongside co-stars Amanda Seyfried, Emmy Rossum, Will Chase, Lior Raz, Thomas Sadoski, Emma Laird, Levon Hawke, Sam Vartholomeos and many more.
Additional cast members in attendance included Elijah Jones, Laila Robins, Zachary Golinger, Stephen Barrington, Nuala Cleary, Henry Eikenberry, Hank Strong along with director Kornél Mundruczó (episodes 101, 102, 105), and executive producers Alexandra Milchan, Yariv Milchan and Michael Schaefer.
“The Crowded Room” follows Danny Sullivan (Holland), a man who is arrested following his involvement in a shooting in New York City in 1979. A captivating thriller told through a series of interviews with curious interrogator Rya Goodwin (Seyfried), Danny’s life story unfolds, revealing elements of the mysterious past that shaped him, and the twists and turns that will lead him to a life-altering revelation. The series finale for the 10-episode first season will air on Friday, July 28 on Apple TV+.
“The Crowded Room” is a co-production between Apple Studios and New Regency. Goldsman serves as executive producer through his Weed Road Productions banner. The series is also executive produced by Tom Holland; Alexandra Milchan for EMJAG Productions; and New Regency’s Arnon Milchan, Yariv Milchan and Michael Schaefer. Kornél Mundruczó directed several episodes, including the pilot, and executive produces.
